Define the purpose
Separate basic surface protection from added comfort. Do not assume a topper, comfort pad and protector have the same structure.
Product category
BOREDON offers basic mattress protectors and quilted toppers for hospitality use. Because available source documents contain conflicting claims for one protector construction, the protector is presented only as a basic, made-to-approved-specification item; waterproof, anti-slip and composition claims require order-specific evidence.

Buyer guidance
Separate basic surface protection from added comfort. Do not assume a topper, comfort pad and protector have the same structure.
Quote requests should include mattress width, length, depth, corner details and any skirt or elastic requirement.
Shell, fill, quilting, attachment and claims must be written into the approved technical specification before production.
A protector defends the mattress asset. A topper changes how the bed feels. They are frequently specified as one line and they should not be, because they have different constructions, different replacement cycles and different laundering requirements — and a property that buys one expecting the other is disappointed either in comfort or in cost.
Decide which problem you are solving first: extending mattress life, adding perceived softness, or both with two separate items. Then specify each against that purpose.
This is the product category where measured depth matters most, because a protector or fitted topper has to clear the mattress plus anything already on it. Adjustable frames, thicker replacement mattresses and existing overlays all change the depth requirement, and a bed size name carries none of that information.
Measure length, width and depth on the mattress as it is actually made up and send all three. Skirt depth and corner elastic construction are then specified to fit, and the item stays on the bed under real housekeeping handling rather than pulling free at the corners.
Where fluid protection is required, a membrane layer changes the product’s behavior: less breathable, a different sound and hand-feel, and specific wash-temperature and drying limits that a laundry must respect or the membrane fails. State whether you need fluid resistance and what your laundry actually does, so the construction and the care instruction match the process.
For hospital and care use, note that fluid resistance here is an ordinary textile property of the construction. No sterile, antimicrobial or certified fluid-barrier medical performance is claimed, and the manufacturing parent holds no medical device license.
The commercial case for protection is simple and worth stating in a budget submission: a protector costs a fraction of a mattress and extends its service life, so the line usually pays for itself well inside a replacement cycle. Toppers have their own cycle — loft compresses with use and laundering — and should carry a separate replacement allowance.
Confirm par level per bed, laundering frequency and expected replacement interval per item. Quantities per size per specification are then checked against minimum order quantity per line.

Buyer FAQ
No. BOREDON does not make a general waterproof claim. Any such requirement must be technically reviewed and supported for the specified construction.
Yes, through fill weight, construction and sample approval, subject to feasibility.
They are confirmed per selected construction and order documentation; the basic protector is intentionally not assigned an unverified composition online.
