Specify shell and fill separately
State the shell composition and construction, fill type, fill weight, quilting or box layout, dimensions and closure.
Product category
BOREDON produces hotel duvet and pillow inserts around a controlled shell, filling, weight, construction, finished size and target feel. The approved sample and order documents provide the reference for production and repeat orders; fill and performance claims are not generalized across materials.

Buyer guidance
State the shell composition and construction, fill type, fill weight, quilting or box layout, dimensions and closure.
Terms such as soft or firm are subjective. A mutually approved sample creates a clearer production reference.
Match insert size and loft with the duvet cover, pillowcase, bed type and housekeeper handling requirements.
The single most common specification error on duvets and pillow inserts is copying a filling weight from another property in another climate. Filling weight has to be chosen against the room’s year-round temperature control, the season split you intend to operate, and how the property expects guests to use the bedding — one all-season weight, or a summer and winter rotation.
State climate, room temperature control and whether you want a seasonal rotation. Filling weight, quilting pattern and box construction are then reviewed together instead of one number being copied out of context.
Loft is what a guest actually perceives, and loft is lost to filling migration long before the fabric fails. Quilting pattern, channel or box construction, box wall height, edge finishing and shell fabric density all control migration, and they are chosen against the laundry as much as against the look.
Wadding, quilting and filling are performed inside this manufacturing group rather than bought in as an anonymous component, so construction can be adjusted for your program instead of accepted as whatever a supplier happened to stock.
Pillow specification runs on firmness, height, size and how many are placed per bed. Many properties carry two firmness options per room and let the guest choose, which changes the quantity calculation and the storage requirement. Decide the per-bed placement and any pillow-menu offering before pricing, because it drives volume more than unit price does.
Pillow protectors extend service life and are worth specifying alongside the insert rather than as an afterthought.
Inserts are laundered far less often than covers, which is exactly why their replacement cycle gets forgotten and why a property discovers all its duvets are flat in the same season. Confirm whether inserts are washed in-house, sent out, or protected by a cover and washed on a longer cycle, and set a replacement allowance accordingly.
Par level should cover the laundry cycle plus rooms held out of service. Send room counts by bed size and the intended par, and quantities per size per specification can be checked against minimum order quantity per line.
